Responsibilities
Enable engineers to ship secure code by building a robust stack of security tools and integrating it into the CI/CD pipeline.
Identify and implement security improvements in Wisp’s technology stack, prioritizing and driving key vulnerability remediation with the product, engineering, and site reliability teams.
Collaborate closely with engineering and site reliability teams to ensure secure design and code review.
Use automated techniques and instrumentation to minimize the risk of introducing security issues.
Establish and maintain incident response procedures to efficiently mitigate security incidents and minimize impact.
Collaborate cross-functionally across the business to help define and implement the organization’s roadmap for security.
Educate the team on security best practices to curate a culture where everyone feels invested and responsible for building a secure product.
Ensure compliance with HIPAA standards and regulations governing the protection of sensitive healthcare data.
Collaborate with legal and compliance teams to address regulatory requirements and maintain adherence to data privacy laws.

Required
5+ years of experience in highly compliant environments
Strong understanding of common Application Security concerns and their remediations (OWASP, NIST)
Highly knowledgeable about networking protocols, encryption algorithms, and secure coding practices
Proven hands-on experience with cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)
Empathetic, constructive, pragmatic, and business-oriented approach to security
Belief in the power of a secure-by-default platform for application development
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Authorized to work in the country this requisition states
