Responsibilities

Work closely with product and technical leaders throughout Amazon to influence technical decisions and build data-driven automation capabilities.

Identify enablers and blockers of adoption for region flexibility, build models to understand data set and service relationships, predict the impact of region changes, and provide offerings to mitigate that impact.

Collaborate with AWS teams to advise on SDO requirements, choose scalable technology solutions, and directly influence product design.

Utilize data, information processing, machine learning, and generative AI to improve user experience, automation, service resilience, and operational efficiency.

Required

5+ years of data querying languages (e.g. SQL), scripting languages (e.g. Python) or statistical/mathematical software (e.g. R, SAS, Matlab, etc.) experience

4+ years of data scientist experience

Experience with statistical models e.g. multinomial logistic regression

Preferred

2+ years of data visualization using AWS QuickSight, Tableau, R Shiny, etc. experience

Experience managing data pipelines

Experience as a leader and mentor on a data science team
