Responsibilities

Collaborate with the marketing team to create and execute plans for ongoing promotion of breakout frontlist tiles across various genres.
Work closely with Norton's paperback group to identify titles with significant sales potential and develop innovative marketing campaigns.
Research and explore original methods for reaching readers through book club programs, social media initiatives, advertising, and more.
Communicate with various stakeholders including sales, title marketers, publicists, editors, authors, and agents.
Assist in author outreach and tours by coordinating with publicity colleagues and identifying suitable authors for events.
Coordinate with academic marketing to align goals for select titles.
Collaborate with the sales team on retailer-specific campaigns and promotions.
Present marketing plans at trade sales conferences.
Evaluate and analyze the effectiveness of campaigns under the guidance of the Director, Paperbacks and Academic Marketing Strategy.

Required

A minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in book marketing or sales, with a strong understanding of the book publishing landscape.
Strong grasp of key marketing concepts and tools including email marketing, social media marketing, video, and search.
Proclivity to both think outside of the box and ability to put those ideas into practice is essential.
Ability to collaborate as part of a larger team while working independently.
Exceptional verbal and written communication and copywriting skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite required.

Preferred

Basic design skills are a plus.
