Responsibilities

Develop, coordinate, and deliver audience-centric marketing plans and communications campaigns for RMI’s comprehensive approach to industrial decarbonization that leverage diverse channels, including earned, owned, and paid media; events; direct communications; and partnerships.
Provide guidance to RMI’s technical experts to position, frame and develop narratives from an audience-centric perspective.
Seek out, develop, and manage strategic communications partnerships with like-minded NGOs, influencers, and/or advocacy groups in the target market.
Proactively leverage news-making moments, milestones, outcomes, and impacts to drive awareness and interest in the program with target audiences, influencers, donors, policymakers, and decision-makers.

Required

Bachelor’s degree in journalism, public relations, communications, marketing, or related field and/or appropriate combination of education and significant experience.
5+ years’ experience in marketing and communications disciplines in the political and policy space, with clear experience in developing long-term communications strategies and leading successful global, multi-channel marketing campaigns.
Ability to manage multiple relationships and complex projects across a broad portfolio of issues.

Preferred

Previous work experience or knowledge about the complexities of scaling green hydrogen production and cutting emissions in complex supply chains for steel, cement, aviation fuel, and petrochemicals.
A strong team player with excellent interpersonal/collaborative skills with staff and counterparts at all organizational levels and with external partners
Passion for supporting heavy industry decarbonization as well as RMI's mission and theory of change.
