Responsibilities

Serves as a technical lead, providing guidance and mentorship to junior network engineers.
Leads the design and implementation of custom network solutions for customers.
Supports the Solutions Architect group to design, document and implement customer pilots.
Provides network engineering support to Sales organization.
Provides Tier IV escalation support to Help Desk.
Researches, evaluates and provides recommendations for new hardware and software solutions.
Participates in a rotating 'on call' schedule.
Creates technical presentations as needed.
Develops, documents and maintains processes and procedures related to network design.
Follows and enforces compliance requirements.
Analyzes customer bandwidth requirements and system interdependencies.
Supports professional services projects for customers.
Performs other tasks as assigned.

Required

B.A. or B.S. Degree in a technical field from an accredited college or university or equivalent experience
7+ years of experience in network design, implementation, installation, maintenance and troubleshooting of complex networks
CCNP, JNCIP, FNCSP(NSE4), CCVP, CCSP Certification or equivalent on-the-job experience considered
Strong working knowledge of various Vendor routers, switches, firewalls, SDWAN appliances and wireless devices to include; Cisco, Meraki, Fortinet, Juniper, Aerohive, Mist and Cradlepoint
Strong understanding of networking technologies including SDWAN technologies, High Availability protocols such as HSRP, VRRP, GLBP, IP Routing protocols (RIPv1, RIPv2, OSPF, BGP, EIGRP, Policy Routing), Tunneling protocols (GRE, IPSec, DMVPN, IWAN), QOS, Traffic Policing and Shaping, ACLs, AAA, TACACS+, RADIUS, SNMP, DHCP, Switch VLANs, VTP, STP, Wireless Networking
Understanding of VoIP, SIP and PRI voice technologies
Understanding of various network tools including WhatsUp Gold, SolarWinds Orion, Cisco CCE, Cisco Prime, FortiManager, FortiAnalyzer, Wireshark or Netscout
Understanding of various compliance requirements, including PCI DSS, HIPAA, SOC a plus
Organized individual with the ability to manage multiple projects or tasks, while in a leadership or team member role
Strong technical documentation skills, including creating network diagrams, operations and maintenance procedures, and technical presentations
Strong verbal skills, including technical presentations to all levels of technical expertise
