Responsibilities

Interact with and establish critical relationships with landowners and local stakeholders to advance development of early-stage wind projects
Manage and maintain relationships with permitting authorities and secure key discretionary permits
Manage public relations including open houses and managing community concerns
Work with internal and external subject matter experts on interconnection study processes
Assist in creating maps and detailed reports
Maintain project schedules and budgets
Identify and clearly articulate project risks, opportunities, and recommended action(s)
Coordinate with internal and external resources to perform project development duties to assist Wind Team as required

Required

2 to 5 years of project development, sales, engineering, or project management in renewable energy or related field
Knowledge of ESRI ArcGIS and Google Earth strongly preferred
Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office software
Basic knowledge of wind energy fundamentals including project development, energy markets, utilities, interconnection, permitting, and contracting
Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
Excellent oral and written communication skills, including interpersonal communication skills
Self-motivated, resourceful, very self-reliant, and capable of operating with minimum supervision
Strong time management skills with comfortability managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Must have a valid driver's license and flexibility to travel in the eastern United States

Preferred

Knowledge of ESRI ArcGIS and Google Earth strongly preferred
