Responsibilities

Understand safe work practices and lead safety by example.

Collaborate with area operations and management to enhance productivity and reduce process variability.

Champion capital projects to drive technological innovation.

Increase operator knowledge and build relationships for effective problem-solving.

Conduct routine testing of process variables and make improvement recommendations.

Analyze processes to develop optimal operating envelopes and predictive models.

Support quality troubleshooting and manage process changes/trials.

Mentor co-op and intern engineers.

Required

Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Engineering or Physical Science

Experience leading an initiative within manufacturing operation (could include co-op) and working through others to accomplish goals

Experience utilizing data analysis tools to drive decision making

Preferred

Bachelor’s degree in Pulp and Paper Science or Chemical Engineering

Proficient in using process programs such as Pi ProcessBook and/or Parkview

Two (2) or more years of experience (could include co-op) in the Pulp and Paper Industry

Experience applying technical training and development within a manufacturing operation

Experience presenting technical information to a diverse audience
