Responsibilities

Reviews non-disclosure agreements, RMBS, loan sale, capital markets, subservicing agreements, and other transactional documents -- ensuring that key business concerns and issues are identified for legal or business review.

Provides legal support and guidance on various transactional, corporate, employment and compliance matters in support of the company.

Systematically conveys portfolio level servicing standards, representations, and contractual requirements to the various business functions.

Helps develop a system to distill and refine servicing agreement components.

Assists in legal issues analysis, research and opinion memoranda as assigned.

Reviews and modifies business policies and procedures and provides training when needed.

Provides support as a general resource for various business units.

Performs related duties as assigned by management.

Required

Juris doctor degree.

Active Member of a State Bar.

5+ years’ experience of relevant legal experience.

Prior mortgage industry experience, in-house experience a plus.

Knowledge of mortgage servicing, and a variety of financial services related law.

Excellent interpersonal, written and communication skills.

Excellent research and writing skills.

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail is a must.

Ability to multi-task, prioritize and establish goals.

High degree of professional ethics and integrity.

Excellent judgement and analytical skills.

Ability to work in a team-oriented, fast-past environment.

Proficiency with general Microsoft Office applications.
