Responsibilities
Design and develop new interconnect products, including high-speed connectors, connector cable assemblies, and related mechanical hardware.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop cost-effective designs that meet high-performance market requirements.
Develop product and application specifications documents for testing and customer requirements.
Support Manufacturing and Quality Assurance during product launches and visit manufacturing sites.
Lead in the identification and implementation of new technologies to enable next-generation products.
Provide leadership, guidance, and support to less experienced team members on multiple projects.
Work with marketing and customers to define new project opportunities and overall design strategies.
Provide application and technical support to consolidate inputs into product concepts and detailed requirements.
Responsible for follow-up, documentation, publishing, and expediting all action items of a new product program.

Required
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
Experience in mechanical design and development
Understanding of Finite Element Analysis (FEA)
Understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) and concepts
Experience with advanced parametric 3D CAD systems (Solid Works, Inventor, Creo, etc.)
Preferred
Master’s degree Mechanical Engineering or other related engineering field
Siemens NX experience
Design experience with high speed, high density connectors, cable assemblies, and interconnect products
Knowledge of regulatory agency testing requirements (e.g., UL/CSA, NEBS, EMC/EMI requirements)
Good understanding and practical knowledge of Six Sigma quality development tools and principles (DOE, FMEA, etc.)
Understanding and application of sound project management techniques managing projects to timelines, due dates and deadlines
