Responsibilities

Responsible for the operational readiness of injection molding machines and its support processes.
Responsible for setting up molding tools and create setup parameters.
Ensure that quality specifications are met and optimize ongoing processes on machines.
Demonstrated ability to start-up, operate and shut down molding process related equipment. Must be able to work independently on new process.
Lead implementation of new injection molding processes and equipment.
Lead troubleshooting activities of injection molding machines and its support processes.
Independently carry out minor repairs and maintenance on the molding machines and peripherals.
Work with equipment and material vendors to resolve machine and equipment issues.
Monitor and report issues with injection molds, make recommendations for refurbishment based on production factors such as cycles, process capability and tooling history.
Develop and implement process improvements and technological upgrades.
Identify and implement cost optimization and reduction initiatives.
Train staff for molding processes and provide work instructions and manuals.
Maintain high quality standards through on-the-floor interaction with employees to ensure quality and accuracy in each step of the production process.
Provide technical leadership and mentorship to process technicians, operators and other molding personnel.
Keep machines and the entire production environment clean and organized.
Ensure that all business activities conform to local laws and regulations and are following company policies and procedures.
Ensure compliance with laws and regulations regarding environmental protection, fire prevention as well as occupational health and safety.

Required

5 years of work experience in an injection molding manufacturing environment
Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or industrial engineering
Experience in processing of thermoplastics, robotics, automation, and hot runner systems
Strong and diverse technical background in injection molding processing, tooling, equipment, materials, manufacturing, and quality
Self-starter must be able to work with little direction and with a high level of self-motivation
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work in an interruption-prone environment
Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Strong TEAM and LEAD mentality required
Quality orientation and high attention to detail
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Complex problem-solving capabilities
Commitment to workplace safety
Must be able to clearly present ideas and reports in written and verbal format
Ability to work independently
Must be able to work well with subordinates, peers, and superiors in all departments
Must be able to work well with external contacts of the Company
Self-confident, trustworthy
Must be able to see, hear, talk and use hands and fingers to operate computer hardware and peripherals as well as equipment and tools for basic assembly, packaging, and logistics
Must be able to lift up to 55lbs on a regular basis as required for packing, shipping, and inventory management
Frequent to constant standing and walking throughout the workday
Steel toe shoes are required
Compliance with local Quality and EHS policies

Ability to understand workplace hazards, avoid and report unsafe behaviors and conditions, use and maintain personal protective equipment, report accidents and near accidents, comply with environmental and safety rules, policies, work instructions, manuals, etc., and participate in activities to safeguard the environment
