Responsibilities

Lead, mentor, and manage a team of Network Engineers to ensure technical standards are met and projects are delivered on time and within budget.
Collaborate with the Service Delivery Manager to align project execution with client needs and company goals.
Spearhead the adoption of innovative technologies such as software-defined networking (SDN), network function virtualization (NFV), and automation to enhance operational efficiency.
Oversee the planning, implementation, and configuration of corporate networks across offices and data centers globally.
Ensure technical excellence in network installations, configurations, testing, and troubleshooting, adhering to industry standards.
Drive innovation in network deployment strategies, optimizing processes for efficiency and effectiveness.
Spearhead the technical direction for the team, staying ahead of trends and advancements in network technologies.
Facilitate strong communication between team members, cross-functional teams, and stakeholders to ensure transparency and collaboration.
Manage project lifecycles from conception through to completion, including planning, resource allocation, and documentation.
Develop and enforce best practices for network integrity, performance, and redundancy planning.
Establish robust policies and procedures for network change management to ensure minimal disruption to services and compliance.
Champion the use of data analytics and network performance metrics to inform decision-making and improve network reliability and user satisfaction.
Conduct risk assessments for network projects and operations, developing mitigation strategies to ensure business continuity.

Required

Proven experience in a leadership role within network engineering, with a strong technical background in network deployment and management, complemented by at least 8-10 years of progressive experience in network engineering roles.
Extensive experience with vendor products like Cisco, Juniper, Aruba, HPE, and others.
Advanced experience of Layer 2 and Layer 3 protocols, VPNs, and network technologies (TCP/IP, IPv6, BGP, OSPF, etc.).
A solid understanding of wireless technologies and validation tools, with the ability to guide installations and troubleshoot complex issues.
Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to lead teams through technical challenges and roadblocks.
Strong organizational and project management skills, with the capability to manage multiple projects and teams across different geographies.
Willingness to travel globally as required, adapting to various working hours to meet project needs.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and inspire a diverse team.
Experience in budget management and cost optimization for network projects, including vendor negotiations, procurement processes, and lifecycle management of network assets, with at least 3 years in a financial oversight role within network engineering.
Demonstrated leadership in fostering a culture of innovation, continuous improvement, and learning within the network team, encouraging the adoption of new technologies and methodologies, with at least 5 years in a leadership role promoting technical and professional development.
Strong advocacy for best practices in IT governance, compliance, and regulatory standards relevant to network engineering.

Preferred

Advanced certifications such as CCNP, CCIE, or JNCIS/ JNCIE are preferred.
