Responsibilities

Focus on helping the team achieve outcomes through shared understanding of mission and intent, maintaining a visible backlog of valuable work items, making defensible decision-making partnerships, understanding responsibilities required for delivering full value, and setting WIP limitations.

Apply a deep understanding of decision-making, good relationships, responsibility for team deliveries, helping others, seeking mentoring opportunities, positively influencing teams and peers, and displaying courage to give and receive feedback.

Demonstrate highly proficient confidence and results in craftsmanship across multiple Engineering disciplines, apply knowledge to solve tasks across different crafts, develop advanced system designs, translate technical designs into work units, and seek to increase craftsmanship in competencies.

Create and adapt processes that determine value, increase effectiveness, and reduce waste, align with tasks adding value to the team and organization, and increase craftsmanship in competencies across multiple Engineering crafts.

Possess competencies in Software Craft of Product Engineering Discipline, Infrastructure & Operations crafts, Data Craft of Engineering Discipline, and other relevant disciplines and competencies.

Work in a remote-first environment where high-quality work can be done from anywhere, with opportunities to meet teammates at company retreats and events.

Required

Experience building and operating frontend components and applications (Typescript/React)

Experience integrating AWS services (ECS, SQS, SNS, Lambda, etc.)

Experience in database development (PostgreSQL, etc.)

Passionate, curious, collaborative, committed to self-development, and assumes positive intent

Demonstrable proficiency in TypeScript, JavaScript, Elixir, Node.js, React.js, Redux, Webpack, Jest, CSS

Understanding of design patterns, UI architectures, web architectures, and Restful APIs

Knowledge of microservice architectures

Experience with AWS, Docker, Terraform, Databricks, EMR, Spark, ETL, and reporting architectures and tools

Competencies in Software Craft of Product Engineering Discipline including Web Client development, Server/API development, SQL Data Access, NoSQL Data, Backend For Frontend Architecture, Micro-Frontend architecture, Event-Based Messaging, Pub/Sub and Message Queuing

Competencies in Infrastructure & Operations crafts of Product Engineering discipline including Source Code Control, Continuous Integration, IAC and Deployment Automation, Public Cloud, and Infrastructure

Competencies in Data Craft of Engineering Discipline including Data Architecture, Database Administration and Tuning, ETL & Reporting

Quality competency in the Product Engineering craft

Analysis competency of the Product Engineering craft

System Administration competency in the Engineering Support craft

Troubleshooting competency in the Engineering Support craft

Security Operations competency in the Information Assurance craft
