Responsibilities

Review and process zoning, planned development, real estate development, permitting, annexation, platting, sub-division, land acquisition, easements, special use permits, engineering and building permits applications.

Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and standards related to land use, environmental protection, and public safety.

Coordinate and collaborate with various departments, agencies, developers, contractors, engineers, and consultants on development projects and issues.

Provide technical assistance and guidance to internal and external customers on permitting and compliance requirements and procedures.

Prepare and present reports, recommendations, and findings to management, boards, commissions, and other stakeholders.

Required

A bachelor's degree in urban planning, civil engineering, public administration, or a related field.

At least five years of experience in permitting and compliance, preferably in planning and land development.

Knowledge of local, state, and federal laws and regulations related to land use, environmental protection, and public safety.

Skills in project management, problem-solving, and analytical thinking.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse audiences and stakeholders.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
