Responsibilities

Identify, evaluate, develop, specify, justify, install, and start-up process improvements to increase production yield, improve operating reliability, reduce manufacturing costs, reduce energy usage, conserve raw materials, improve product yields, and improve product quality.

Conduct research to develop new and improved processes for manufacturing.

Support capacity and capability advancements to enable new product development and successful commercialization.

Lead cost improvement initiatives to meet business objectives related to quality, efficiency, and cost-focused projects.

Enhance safety, upgrade environmental safeguards, and optimize process operation.

Develop safety procedures for individuals working with hazardous chemicals.

Provide ongoing engineering assistance to operations, troubleshoot process operating problems, conduct special tests, develop reports, provide technical assistance, and report production status.

Assist in the evaluation, selection, and coordination of vendors supplying necessary operating services, consulting services, materials, equipment, and other operation needs.

Conduct process scope development for capital projects, review proposed capital work for technical feasibility, operability, and project management.

Manage cross-functional process capability projects to improve performance and support new product development.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to make operational and process advancements using continuous improvement techniques.

Participate in Environmental, Health, and Safety initiatives as set forth by the company.

Required

3-7 years of previous experience in a process engineering or similar role, preferably within a consumer-packaged goods (or related) industry

Proven track record of independently managing projects from conception to completion

Proven ability to work collaboratively and cohesively with a multicultural and diverse team and influence other departments and senior managers

Advanced computer skills, including the Microsoft Office suite of applications

Preferred

An Engineering degree is preferred but not required

Process certifications, such as a Six Sigma belt

Project management certification through the Project Management Institute, American Society for the Advancement of Project Management, or other project certification

Advanced presentation and influential skills, proven ability to speak and present to all members of an organization, including both technical and non-technical audiences

Must be able to lift 40 lbs and climb ladders and stairs. Walking, bending, and stooping is required
