Responsibilities
Optimizes breakdown maintenance procedures to avoid recurrence and maintain continuous process operations.
Coordinates and manages the engineering team's support for manufacturing operations, addressing technical challenges promptly.
Ensures the function of essential manufacturing equipment and maintenance of critical spare parts.
Minimizes the impact of breakdowns on quality and production through service time reduction and root cause analysis.
Oversees process equipment operations and utility maintenance.
Identifies new vendors and technologies to enhance machine performance.
Manages all operational aspects including productivity, cost, and continuous improvement.
Leads engineering projects within established timelines and budget constraints.
Identifies opportunities for process optimization and efficiency enhancement.
Collaborates with cross-functional teams to align engineering support with company objectives and regulatory requirements.
Manages resources efficiently to meet operational demands.
Prepares reports detailing engineering activities and improvement initiatives.
Ensures compliance with quality standards and fosters a culture of innovation within the team.

Required
Comprehensive understanding of pharmaceutical manufacturing processes and equipment.
Comprehensive knowledge on operation and maintenance of injectable manufacturing equipment like vial washing machine, tunnel, filling machine, isolator, autoclave, lyophilizer, manufacturing vessels, packaging machines etc.
Proficiency in quality management systems, including change controls, corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs), and deviations.
Demonstrated success in leading and executing projects within established timelines.
Familiarity with regulatory requirements in the pharmaceutical industry.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Skills-Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook.
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Engineering is required.
A minimum of 5 years' experience in an engineering leadership role within the pharmaceutical manufacturing industry.
Preferred
Exposure to Lean Six Sigma or similar methodologies is a plus.
