Responsibilities

Move and/or assist in moving material needed in production machines in an assigned production area.

Assist in the loading and unloading of material in an assigned production area.

Transports material from one production area to another by pushing/pulling a cart.

Assist in lifting and moving heavy loads as required.

Assemble glass packs as required by the production area.

Operate equipment to assist in the production process.

Assemble materials as required by the production area.

Inspect finished product for defects to ensure quality standards are met.

Ensure work area is maintained in an orderly and safe manner per company procedures.

Other duties as assigned by the management team.

Required

H.S. diploma or GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience

Preferred experience in a production setting or in a similar role in a manufacturing environment or equivalent experience in similar roles in a manufacturing environment

Experience in glass manufacturing desired

Basic PC skills

Basic Math--Ability to read a tape measure and understand fractions and decimals

Ability to comprehend and carry out instructions

Effective communication skills written and oral in English and Spanish (preferred)

Team-oriented individual, flexible, and adaptable to a continuous improvement environment

Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time up to 10 hours/day, walk up to 10 hours/day, sit for up to 30-60 minutes/day, twisting or bending up to 10 hours/day, overhead work up to 10 hours as needed per production area

Ability to lift/pull/push 50 lbs. up to 50% of the shift
