Responsibilities
Design and deploy test systems and software for various spaceflight systems.
Develop ground test data acquisition and control systems based on NI CompactRIO, CompactDAQ, PXI, and other hardware.
Provide support for business units and programs across Blue Origin for critical development, qualification, and acceptance testing.
Develop and integrate features into the existing test platform onto Engine test stands.
Support the backend with embedded real-time software and client-side software.
Modernize legacy desktop application software into a web and cloud-based platform.
Participate in code and design reviews, write automated unit tests and integration tests, and add new technologies to the platform.
Deliver, educate, and support the group's platform for other internal test teams within Blue Origin.

Required
Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum
B.S. degree in Computer Science or Computer/Electrical Engineering. Other engineering or science degrees or work history will be considered if experience in above responsibilities is met
5+ years of direct software engineering experience in LabVIEW, C#, Python, C++, OR similar experience
3+ years of hands-on development or of electro-mechanical or fluids system components such as pressure transducers, temperature, LVDT, bridge, accelerometers, and motion/servo controllers
Solid working knowledge of electrical, fluid, physics, and math and able to apply fundamental principles to real-world designs and problems
Experience leading a major project from inception, to production including owning its requirements, architecture, design, implementation, with contribution from fellow developers
Desire to work in a driven, fast-paced, and dynamic environment
Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and champion an inclusive culture
Ability to travel up to 25%
Preferred
Experience with Linux, Git, Networking, CI/CD, Docker, Ansible, Artifactory
Knowledge in scrum or agile practices
Experience working in aerospace and/or a regulated test environment
