Responsibilities

Responsible for the design and development of RFICs for mobile handset applications.

Work with a group of analog/RF IC design experts in the development of cellular-band ICs that transmit, receive, and/or switch signals to or from antennas.

Interface with design management and module design teams to create detailed specifications, report design progress, and collect, track, and resolve any performance and circuit design issues.

Required

Experienced in transistor-level design of RF LNAs or switches on Si-based process technology

Understanding of basic device physics and ability to develop and use advanced linear and nonlinear models or simulation techniques

Knowledge in RF and microwave engineering to optimize the RF performance of the RFIC

Familiarity with Analog bandgaps, op-amps, regulators, precision current mirrors, basic logic synthesis, device matching, layout techniques, ESD, and latch up

Experience in simulation CAD tools, analog and RF circuit test characterization techniques and equipment

Good communication skills, ability to break down complex problems, set priorities, report progress, execute to a schedule, and strong people skills

BS + 5 years, MS + 3 years, or PhD + internships in a related field

Proficiency in Cadence or ADS IC design tools, with experience in HFSS, EMX, or another electromagnetic simulator

Hands-on experience with lab measurements and characterization equipment
