Responsibilities
Oversee a significant regulatory compliance function and ensure compliance with federal, state, and investor regulations.
Manage shared projects with junior staff, ensuring clarity on objectives and timely completion of work.
Implement corrective action measures in a timely manner.
Identify opportunities to reduce operational, financial, legal, and regulatory risk.

Strong attention to detail
Ability to communicate information clearly and concisely both verbally and in writing
Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
Ability to manage multiple projects while adhering to strict deadlines
Analytical skills regarding research into federal and state laws and operational problems
Bachelor’s degree or commensurate work experience
7+ years of mortgage banking experience (Underwriting, processing, closing, loan origination, servicing, compliance, and/or audit, etc.)
Strong understanding of the federal and state mortgage lending and servicing laws
Preferred
Experience working within a compliance program in mortgage banking is strongly preferred
State and CFPB (desirable) exam experience
Knowledge of Encompass preferred
