Responsibilities

Design and conduct laboratory experiments to discover and characterize novel enzymes for epigenetic sequencing solutions.

Analyze data independently and collaborate with established teams to guide project decisions.

Contribute to the preparation of scientific publications and patent applications.

Communicate complex issues clearly to various audiences across functions and levels.

Required

A Ph. D. in the Biological Sciences (molecular & cellular biology, biochemistry, biophysics, structural biology, chemistry) or related disciplines with relevant first-author publications

Proficient with protein engineering tools and processes, including target identification, construction of diverse mutant libraries, protein expression and purification, and candidate screening

Experienced with PCR, library preparation technologies, and workflows for epigenetic / epigenomic NGS (EM-seq, MRE-seq, bisulfite sequencing, etc). Familiarity with whole-genome, RNA-Seq, multi-omic, and/or single-cell sequencing applications is a plus

Excited to collaborate with system engineers, computational biologists, and statisticians to develop new protocols and algorithms for sequencing data analysis. Knowledge of software and computational tools like Python, C++, R, JMP, and/or AlphaFold are beneficial
