Responsibilities
Create and Update CAD Drawings: Develop detailed 2D and 3D CAD drawings and models based on design specifications and requirements.
Support Engineering Team: Collaborate with engineers to refine designs, ensure manufacturability, and optimize production processes.
Documentation: Prepare and maintain comprehensive documentation for all CAD drawings, including version control and change orders.
Quality Assurance: Conduct thorough reviews and inspections of drawings to ensure accuracy, completeness, and adherence to company standards and regulatory requirements.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with manufacturing, quality assurance, and regulatory teams to ensure seamless integration of designs into production.
Continuous Improvement: Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance CAD processes, tools, and methodologies.
Compliance: Ensure all designs comply with relevant industry standards, regulations, and guidelines, such as ISO 13485 and FDA requirements.
Technical Support: Provide technical support and guidance to junior drafters and other team members as needed.

Required
Associate’s degree in CAD, Drafting, Engineering Technology, or a related field.
Minimum of 2-5 years of experience as a CAD Drafter, preferably within the medical device or related regulated industry.
Experience with medical device design and/or manufacturing and regulatory requirements is highly desirable.
Advanced proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or equivalent.
Proficient knowledge of pneumatic, hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical systems.
Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in drafting and documentation.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to assess design specifications and optimize manufacturing processes.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
Proven ability to work effectively in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
Familiarity with industry standards and regulatory requirements for medical devices, such as ISO 13485 and FDA guidelines.
Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment, ensuring timely completion of tasks.
Preferred
A bachelor’s degree in a related discipline.
