Responsibilities
Perform analysis for failure modes and root-cause using quality tools like Fishbone analysis, 5 Whys, FMEA, and SCARs.
Provide oversight of supplier results and performance.
Participate in cross-functional alignment between Technology, Quality, and Development.
Assure compliance with standards and specifications.
Assist in identification of issues related to Safety and EV charging for OEM team.
Support New Product Introduction on EVSE HW by working with cross-functional teams.

Required
5+ years of post-undergrad experience
3+ years of experience working in or with manufacturing suppliers and working understanding of Quality tools and analysis of data, trends and performance
2+ years of experience working with suppliers and technical teams and fault analysis
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
Manufacturing and Quality Engineering experience with a Mechanical/Electrical or other engineering degree or equivalent experience
Ability mentor and assist more Junior level engineers
Demonstrated use of logic, reason, and strategic thinking
Strong Communication skills – interpersonal, presentation, and written
Computer savvy – skilled in the use of software and business tools (Word, Excel, PPT)
Ability to complete assignments on time and follow guidance from more senior engineers
Direct suppliers to Failure mode(S) and Root Cause analysis
Results oriented achiever who is customer focused
Capable of working with is a diverse atmosphere and to follow team lead direction
Capable to perform technical analysis with clear and concise reporting
Experience with Agile process, Confluence, JIRA, SalesForce, Tableau and other essential tools
Knowledge HW failure rates and reporting
Familiarity with HW manufacturing processes
An understanding of power electronics circuit and concepts
Knowledgeable of key charging components
Familiarity of High Voltage AC/DC systems and battery storage
Understanding of RMA (Return Materials Authorization) process
Understanding of UL and other key industry standards
Experiences with CAPA process, 8D and SCAR activity as related to nonconformance
A collaborative mindset that welcomes input and challenges
Preferred
Mechanical or EE degree
Knowledge & understanding of overall automotive and EV Industry
Knowledge of charging technology
Technical problem solving and root cause analysis
Analytical and conceptual thinking
Quality Life Cycle of Product HW, SW and FW development
Results oriented
Understanding of compliance to UL and other key industry standards
Ability to program in Python and work with databases to perform analysis
Quality/Sigma green or yellow belt or similar experience
Experience working within Quality organization
Hybrid work flexibility - Local role in Reston Office, at time in the Ashburn Lab. Some travel as needed (10%)
