Responsibilities
Contribute to building the data modeling layer, using data and code guides to expose clean data to the company
Apply software engineering best practices to analytics code: version control, code reviews, unit, and integration testing
Drive a collaborative culture of best practices in Analytics Engineering across the team and other technical roles
Bring technical knowledge and data insights to collaborations with technical functions and the business
Enable analyst users with accurate and accessible data via a documented data mart

Required
Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience preferred.
Experience: 3+ years of experience as an Analytics Engineer, or as an Analyst with demonstrated engineering abilities.
Investigative Mindset: you are driven to know “why” – your data-sleuthing bent allows you to interpret complex data. Proactively identify opportunities for changes to the system, to improve our products, data science components, and business-facing layer
Clear, Concise Communication: you can explain complex concepts to a non-technical audience.
Thrive on both autonomy and collaboration: you want to work in a fast, high-growth startup environment. You enjoy learning from your teammates and contributing to their growth.
Fluent in analytical SQL. Able to write complex queries with no assistance, you understand the difference between SQL that works and performant SQL.
Experience working with a data transformation tool like dbt.
Experience with the command line, git, and general devops knowledge.
Experience with modern data warehouses e.g. Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery.
Preferred
Experience with Python a plus.
