Responsibilities

Develop, test, document, and deploy high-quality software into production

Build small features and tools for the team's use

Participate in the on-call rotation for troubleshooting software issues

Escalate when tasks or projects face roadblocks

Conduct code reviews to maintain code quality and share knowledge

Contribute to team planning and design discussions

Impact software quality and customer experience of product features

Improve testability, operational excellence metrics, and team documentation

Help define and adhere to engineering strategy principles, guidelines, and best practices

Develop an understanding of the industry, product, feature set, and roadmap

Work closely with the product team and internal stakeholders for technology decisions

Onboard and mentor junior engineers and interns

Stay updated on the latest technologies and software development trends

Occasional travel to Fanatics Betting & Gaming offices and other locations

Required

1+ years of experience building highly scalable and fault-tolerant mobile applications using Kotlin

Able to effectively communicate complex technical subjects to a variety of audiences (engineers, technical leaders, marketing and operations teams, non-technical functional leaders)

Familiar with Agile software product delivery and SCRUM methodology

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

You have an agile mindset; able to embrace new initiatives in a fast-paced environment

Thrives in an entrepreneurial, hyper-growth environment where priorities evolve regularly and decisions are made quickly

Team-first mentality, with a willingness to do what it takes to get the job done and a desire to strive for better

Able to effectively work cross-functionally within an enterprise environment
