Responsibilities

Performs GHG validation and verification projects, in accordance with various low-carbon fuel programs.
Assists in EcoEngineers’ engineering review process by reviewing mass and energy balance calculations, conducting site visits, and writing technical reports.
Develops methods to meet verification requirements, evaluate risk levels, and identify compliance systems and plans.
Identifies and responds to client non-conformance questions and issues.
Contributes to building assessment capability through evaluation of new methods, improved project management, and deeper industry insights.
Participates in field activities such as GHG verification site visits, facility inspections, and field meetings on engineering-related issues.
Stays current on emerging trends in process engineering, especially in the renewable energy industry.
Involves effective communication, decision-making, and time management.

Required

2-4 years of work experience in fuel production and process engineering
B.S. degree in Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Agricultural Engineering, or other relevant technical degrees from an accredited college
Currently holds a Professional Engineer (PE) license
Experience interpreting and preparing process flow diagrams (PFDs) and process descriptions
Skilled in writing technical reports, proven ability to manage complex information, simplify and convey it in easily understood ways
Ability to be an active team member on project teams towards project completion within project scope, budget, and schedule and ensure quality work product and deliverables
Self-starter with solid attention to detail and ability to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously while prioritizing the most pressing and impactful matters
Strong computer skills relevant for data processing and analysis. Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite software, specifically advanced-level Excel
Effective written/verbal communication, enjoys working in a multi-functional team-oriented environment
Ability to multi-task, maintain flexibility, travel, and work independently. Some travel is required to support a wide array of projects and clients

Preferred

Experience in emissions technology, life cycle analysis, low carbon transportation fuel production
Experience performing mass and energy balance calculations especially in greenhouse gas or other air emissions inventories development
