Responsibilities
Generates and obtains approvals of monthly billing and earned values
Develops and manages the project schedule on small or mid-sized projects
Analyzes targets and goals, job cost summaries, and other reports
Alerts the Superintendent and Project Manager of project impacts
Generates estimates of change orders and interfaces with pre-construction on original bids
Collaborates with pre-construction and the project team to manage the job transition process
Generates material quantity take-offs, scoping documents, terms and conditions, etc.
Coordinates with the Superintendent, Field Project Engineer, and Line and Grade to generate required as-built records
Manages work package closure, punch lists, and project turnover process
Leads LEAN/SQP committee and identifies improvement opportunities
Ensures subcontractors are in compliance with terms of subcontracts
Interfaces with Safety and Risk Management in establishing clinics and managing first report of injuries
Follows Company Recruitment and Hiring Guidelines
May conduct new-hire orientation and process E-Verify
May coordinate tracking and completion of training requirements with project management

Required
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university and 2 years’ of experience or 6 years’ of construction related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Proficiency in Microsoft software programs such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business documents, technical procedures, and government regulations
Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedures
Ability to communicate well with all levels of workers involved with the project
Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, proportions, geometry, and trigonometry to practical situations
Ability to analyze and compute mathematical differences from all stages of drawings from conceptual to final drawings including development of shop drawings
Ability to understand Cost Accounting
Basic understanding of construction software such as Primavera, Timberline, Vista and the like
Ability to understand, customize and modify spreadsheets
Ability to direct work and evaluate strengths and weaknesses of co-workers
Ability to work in a team environment
Ability to define problems, collect information, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
Ability to develop construction schedule via the critical path method
Ability to understand contracts, specifications, drawings, and scope of work
Ability to be proactive in maximizing our return on investment at all time
