Responsibilities

Provide technical leadership over enterprise engineering initiatives, connect across technology ecosystems and multiple disciplines.

Provide detailed technical expertise on one or more technologies contributing to complex design/architectural decisions and detailed problem analysis.

Provide thought leadership, innovative ideas, and deliver cutting edge technical solutions across engineering/product teams.

Envision and prototype engineering solutions that deliver business value and best in-class end-user experience.

Act as a leader during high profile problem analysis situations and contribute to ATSV-wide analysis and resolution of major problem issues – provide updates to leadership and governing process management.

Identify opportunities and leads enhance to our continuous Integration and continuous delivery process and practices.

Create and articulate the case for change by highlighting the potential business/customer benefits.

Works in partnership with architecture and multiple product engineering teams to develop scalable and high-quality solutions, define technical plans for capability development and enterprise lifecycle initiatives.

Leverage a strong understanding of product, design and business priorities to solve high impact, highly complex problems.

Provide hands-on leadership to multiple teams of software engineers across the enterprise.

Own operational activities for business (define direction, scope & development phases).

Decomposes product requirements to build them within architectural designs & backlogs.

Lead scrum teams & key work partners to create accountability for interdependencies.

Lead refactoring activities.

Provide mentorship to engineering teams.

Required

High School Diploma mandatory and 10+ years of related experience working with enterprise scale architectures, technology systems and multiple engineering teams.

4-5 years of progressive technical leadership experience

In-depth knowledge of front-end technologies, frameworks, and best practices

Proven mentorship qualities

Experience architecting, re-architecting, or designing (in whole or in parts) front end frameworks and related components

Demonstrated experience and high levels of knowledge in new and emerging technologies with experience in new product introduction

Well experienced in developing POC’s and at the least 1-2 POC to production to present and defends architectural, design and technical choices to internal and external audiences

Experience with mobile development

Experience with performance optimization, responsive design and cross-browser, cross-platform compatibility

Entrepreneurial spirit, with experience shipping modern software

Experience operating in an environment driven by KPIs with accountability to determine the best course of action to meet the goals

Ability to solve complex problems and drive engineering excellence and 12-factor principles across engineering product teams

Advanced ability to influence leadership - represent technical strategy and decisions in discussions and presentations to Senior Leadership

Experience working in an extreme Programming (XP) or agile environment

Preferred

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology or related field (moved from required to preferred)

Experience building Micro Front-end applications

Experience building a library of reusable components

Native mobile application development

Experience with UX

Knowledge on current trends in AI and or Machine learning

Commercial software development experience

Experience with React, node.js, Median.co, Typescript, GraphQL, etc.

Experience with UX Knowledge on current trends in AI and or Machine learning
