Responsibilities

Software Development: Plan, design, develop, and test software systems or applications, including cloud-based or internet-related tools for strategic and complex/high-risk projects.

Technical Leadership: Serve as a technical lead, establishing coding specifications for unprecedented software programs and systems, developing technical vision and design specifications, and overseeing implementation.

Innovation and Improvement: Develop technical/business approaches and new or enhanced technical tools, and contribute to patents and intellectual property.

Project Management: Own the development and rollout of entire products or large projects, championing processes (Scrum, TDD, etc.), writing tech specs, and identifying risks.

Stakeholder Interaction: Interact with internal and external peers and management to share complex information/solutions and gain acceptance of new or enhanced technology/business solutions.

Team Collaboration: Assist in hiring and developing technical talent, and collaborate with Service Desk and Tier 2-3 staff to resolve client problems.

Infrastructure Support: Assist with core infrastructure installation, maintain information security, and document IT inventory at each property.

Required

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related field and at least 6 years of relevant experience, OR High School/GED and at least 9 years of relevant experience.

Experience in writing code for complex online applications, microservices, or mobile applications.

Strong background in algorithms, systems architecture, and automation.

Experience in technical project management and writing/maintaining process documentation.

Proven ability to create coding solutions for complex problems.

Experience engaging at the executive level and leading cross-functional teams.

At least 2 years of experience contributing to financial decisions.

At least 3 years of direct leadership, indirect leadership, and/or cross-functional team leadership.

Willing to travel up to 10% for business purposes.

Preferred

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology.

Experience in Agile environments and DevOps.

Experience leading automation/DevOps engineering teams and hands-on deployment automation for IaaS, PaaS platforms.

Proficiency in automation software like Chef, Puppet, Ansible, Terraform, and CI/CD pipeline implementation for Cloud deployments.

Experience with GIT workflows, pipelines, Kubernetes, and other DevOps tools for high-traffic applications.

Strong understanding of infrastructure components and experience operationalizing high-traffic web and mobile applications.

Web/Backend: Experience leading the design, development, and deployment of cross-functional projects, decomposing complex problems, and facilitating technical collaboration.

Mobile: 7+ years of mobile app development in Kotlin (Android) and Swift, SwiftUI, Objective C (iOS), with experience in Test Driven Development, ReactNative Programming, and software engineering best practices.
