Responsibilities

Operate and maintain mechanical equipment in different areas of the hotel.

Independently monitor and work on kitchen, laundry, HVAC/VTAC/T-SAT equipment.

Possess general troubleshooting skills in electrical, plumbing, and HVAC.

Replace light switches, outlets, and work on high voltage and power over ethernet lighting.

Schedule and control space temperatures in all hotel areas through the BMS.

Familiar with life safety systems, fire alarms, sprinkler systems, and smoke detectors.

Perform painting, patching, sanding, and wallpaper tasks.

Maintain maintenance logs and reports, communicate discrepancies related to business operations.

Required

At least 2 years of experience leading or supervising a team, preferably in the hospitality industry.

3+ years experience of hospitality maintenance.

Excellent understanding of engineering/maintenance principles.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Must be flexible with schedule, will work weekdays, weekends, am and pm, and holidays.

Must have a reliable means of transportation.

Ability to come in at night or on days off in an emergency.

Experience leading a team of 2-3 maintenance technicians.

Working knowledge of electrical, mechanical, plumbing, HVAC/VTAC, pool, computers, and Fire Life Safety is required.

Ability to complete work orders and special projects on time.

Has good, long-term vendor relations.

The ability to process negative feedback and remain professional.

Proficient in reading, writing, and communicating.

Preferred

Hotel maintenance experience preferred.
