Responsibilities

Provides daily oversight and guidance to team members and engineers responsible for documenting, updating, developing, and implementing automation scripts, and developing scripts to automate Active Directory to perform account management, organizational unit modifications, access control list security changes, develop/deliver training, and plan/facilitate the enhancement reviews with project leadership.

Planning, execution, and coordination of activities associated with designated development projects.

Ensuring project objectives are accomplished within scope and schedule, and consistently meet expected quality parameters - engage with and assist with coordinating and monitoring work assignments across multiple organizational areas of the program

Managing development teams with projects that will most often follow Agile methodologies (knowledge and experience using Java, .NET, C#, VB, PowerShell, JavaScript, Power BI, Power Apps, SQL Server 2016 would be great!).

Continually support our goal to maintain five-nines uptime, and support IT Security’s scanning of existing web applications when needed.

Supporting sprint planning, maintain and groom backlogs, host/participate in the daily standups, remove obstacles that impede progress.

Ensure releases and patches are deployed following an approved schedule - create release checklists

Establishing and maintaining security best practices while developing applications and web content

Adhere to accessibility compliance guidelines from Rehabilitation Act (Section 508) and the DOJ website administration policies and remedy content that is out of compliance

Responding to Internet and Intranet updates using CMS platforms, such as Drupal and SharePoint

Troubleshooting, documenting, and resolving complex problems with web content, browser compatibility, database performance, and task automation

Manage and support the review, update, and maintenance of documentation for overall effectiveness, completeness, and accuracy

Plan and manage the creation of fully functional web forms/GUIs for end users to process action request, update inventory, and automate repetitive tasks, as well as indexing, SQL query development, job automation, and database optimization while actively searching for security vulnerabilities

Develop user enhancements approved by project leadership, including requirement capture, determine detailed requirements, solution/design, and testing in the controlled testing environment

Required

Minimum of 10 years of experience overseeing/managing complex, mission-critical application/software development projects

Comprehensive understanding of Agile development and executing Agile methodologies, including maintaining/grooming the product backlog, determining team velocity, sprint planning

Active PMP and CSM certifications

Proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite, including MS Project, and with SharePoint

Knowledge and understanding of ITIL, CMMI, and ISO best practices, and PMBOK

Success in managing and coaching teams across multiple areas of the program’s organization

Ability to simultaneously manage multiple development projects with varying levels of complexity

Strong propensity and aptitude for solving client business needs

Supported teams responsible for managing code branches, code merges, and nightly builds, and maintaining Dev/Test environments replicating Prod environment

Effective communication with all levels of the project team and with Exec Leadership

BS in Computer Science, Engineering, or other relevant discipline

Ability to hold/maintain an active Top-Secret clearance - will consider an interim Top-Secret clearance

Preferred

Experience using Java, .NET, C#, VB, PowerShell, JavaScript, Power BI, Power Apps, SQL Server 2016

Experience with Drupal and SharePoint CMS platforms

Experience with indexing, SQL query development, job automation, and database optimization

Experience in responding to Internet and Intranet updates using CMS platforms

Experience in troubleshooting, documenting, and resolving complex problems with web content, browser compatibility, database performance, and task automation
