Responsibilities

Communicate effectively and work collaboratively with all functions of the business, operations, and maintenance functions.

Conduct field and site inspections to enforce adherence to laws, regulations, and employer policies.

Ensure sustainable systems are implemented and maintained for compliance with regulations.

Serve as a liaison with regulatory agencies during inspections or negotiations.

Monitor regulatory developments and collaborate with site/HSE team members to implement solutions.

Promote continuous HSE improvement through participation in meetings, incident investigations, training, and auditing.

Assist in investigating incidents and non-compliance events to recommend remedial actions.

Apply HSE management systems to conform to standards such as RC14001®.

Participate in HSE audits as requested.

Required

BS in Chemical Engineering or Environmental Engineering strongly preferred

Environmental experience in a manufacturing environment

Strong interpersonal, communication, and computer skills. Must be proficient in serving as a change agent within the manufacturing environment and working with site management and Health and Safety team members to improve overall HSE performance

Knowledge of relevant regulations, with emphasis on relevant state and federal environmental regulations specific to Ecoservices manufacturing operations

Must be an independent, self-motivated individual with the ability to multi-task and administer a broad range of duties including; providing timely resolution to issues that arise, counseling/coaching operations personnel, and providing technical interpretation of policies and procedures
