Responsibilities

Develop value stream strategies for new machines and equipment to improve quality and cost metrics.

Participate in kaizen activities to analyze workforce utilization and design layout for efficiency.

Implement lean strategies, focus on set up reduction, and track results for process improvements.

Plan the use of tools, machines, and fixtures, and provide detailed manufacturing documentation.

Test machine capabilities, implement operating procedures, and provide periodic reports.

Operate and troubleshoot process equipment independently, ensuring production efficiency.

Maintain records consistent with ISO standards.

Required

Bachelor's degree in Plastics or Mechanical Engineering or related discipline with one to three years of manufacturing experience

Must have a working knowledge of extrusion and/or injection molding equipment with the ability to develop and implement sound lean manufacturing practices

Experience with ProE (or equivalent) and AutoCAD design software

Proficient with Microsoft Windows, Word and Excel

Experience with tooling design and knowledge of machining practices

Previous 'Lean' manufacturing experience and exposure to diverse manufacturing processes and materials

Preferred

Experience with a Resource Management System is desired
