Responsibilities

The person performing this role should have a deep understanding of Azure Data services using technologies such as Azure Synapse Analytics and/or Databricks and Azure Data Factory.

Write ETL processes in Python or Spark SQL, implement data pipelines, and manipulate/transform data using Data Flows, in conjunction with other Azure Services like Azure SQL and Azure Data Lake Store.

Required

5+ years (3 years min relevant experience in the role) Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent.

Sound skills and hands-on experience with Azure Synapse, Databricks or Spark.

Strong SQL skills (familiar with T-SQL and complex queries)

Experience working Python, Scala or R languages.

Proficient in creating pipelines for on-cloud or hybrid ETL/ELT processing.

Knowledge of data architectures including the design & set-up of scalable solutions.

Experience designing and building Data Lake and Data warehouses.

Strong analytic skills related to working with structured & unstructured datasets.

Experience supporting and working with cross-functional teams in a dynamic and diverse environment.

Preferred

Knowledge of Azure data platform as Azure Data Factory Azure SQL, ADLS, etc.

Knowledge of big data tools (Hadoop, Spark, etc.)

DAX coding is a plus.

Familiar with Version control (Git).

Good technical knowledge of on-premises Microsoft BI Stack (ETL & Analytics) using SSIS, SSAS.

Certifications: DP 203, Databricks or other relevant certification is a plus.

Knowledge in Tabular Editor is a plus.

Familiar with Agile methodologies.
