Responsibilities

Collaborate with Product Partners: Work closely with product management, developers, SMEs, Stakeholders, etc. to create effective solutions.

Orchestrate Knowledge: Utilize existing knowledge and user research with BT customers to inform design decisions and strategies.

Investigate User Challenges: Identify and address gaps in our understanding of user challenges through data analytics and user research.

Create Value: Develop design solutions that address user needs and contribute to desired product outcomes.

Validate Solutions: Use prototyping and other research activities to validate design solutions.

Deliver Impact: Consistently produce high-quality design work that meets project objectives and enhances the user experience.

Build Relationships: Proactively engage with stakeholders and business leaders to gather input, share progress, and drive projects forward.

Mentor and Coach: Provide guidance and mentorship to Associate Product Designers and Midlevel Product Designers

Required

BA/BS Degree in Graphic Design, HCI, or related field (or equivalent experience)

8+ years of relevant work experience in UX, product, or web design

Experience mentoring or managing designers

Strong portfolio/case studies showcasing your approach to solving a variety of complicated design problems using creativity, critical thinking, and fluency in best practices of user-centered design

Experience designing web and mobile applications

Proficiency with Adobe CS (including XD), Sketch, Figma or other design tools

Experience in user research techniques including user interviews and usability testing

Ability to effectively communicate research results and design decisions

Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively at all levels in a collaborative team environment

Experience with a variety of UX design deliverables including: rapid prototypes, user stories, concept sketches, storyboards, information architecture, interaction design, interface (UI) design, visual design, and infographics
