Responsibilities
Perform investigations, surveys, and testing of existing buildings to identify and diagnose deficiencies contributing to damage or deterioration
Critically analyze plans, specifications, and calculations prepared by others
Assist with developing project proposals and reviewing agreements
Participating in quality control process
Monitor progress of projects, adherence to project requirements, and closely track budget and procedural standards
Perform or review condition appraisals, develop repair schemes and repair recommendations
Complete and maintain all project documentation in project management software
Manage multiple complex projects and teams, including engineers and technical personnel
Maintain, market, and promote restoration and forensic engineering consulting services to new and existing clients
Assist with training less experienced staff in a variety of roles
Perform peer reviews
Other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Civil or Architectural Engineering, Architecture, or similar
Professional license in architecture, structural engineering, or civil engineering
10+ years of experience working and/or managing projects in the forensic and/or restoration fields
Strong writing, communication, and team skills
Experience in developing and maintaining client relationships
Willingness to travel in the Mid-Atlantic region, with occasional travel for conferences
