Responsibilities

Works independently using CAD equipment to create and modify drawings, sketches, and diagrams for use by other departments and clients.

Attends project meetings to interpret design concepts, determine detailed working drawings, and coordinate work with others.

Compiles data, computes quantities, and determines materials needed.

Verifies work for accuracy, completeness, and compliance to standards.

Sets up and maintains an organized file system for projects.

Communicates with internal and external personnel regarding new and revised drawings.

Additional duties as assigned.

Required

Associate’s Degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school in Drafting.

4+ years progressive AutoCAD experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Occasional travel either locally, nationally, and/or internationally may be required.

Ability to perform 2D drafting and 3D modeling.

Proficiency with Adobe Pro is a plus.

High degree of proficiency MS Excel, Word, Outlook & Internet applications.

Strong analytical, prioritizing, interpersonal, problem-solving, presentation, project involvement (from conception to completion), & planning skills.

Strong verbal and written communication skills (including analysis, interpretation, & reasoning).

Solid understanding and application of mathematical concepts.

Ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships with peers and colleagues across the organization.

Ability to work well autonomously and within a team in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment.

Ability to work with and influence peers and senior management.

Self-motivated with critical attention to detail, deadlines and reporting.

Ability to work overtime as necessary.

Preferred

Proficiency with Adobe Pro is a plus.
