Responsibilities
Serves as a senior Operations Research Analyst responsible for providing expert statistical and economic analysis and decision theory.
Establishes contractual data requirements for monitoring contractor performance.
Performs a broad range of cost and/or economic analysis assignments involving unique problems, requirements for creativity, innovative use of techniques, advanced approaches, and/or new technologies.
Designs and performs various analytical studies using scientific methods.
Systematically examines alternative courses of action in terms of effectiveness and cost to help clarify relevant choices and their implications.
Establishes working relationships to support and resolve problems and difficulties.
Plans, establishes, monitors, and participates in the control and responsibility for the formulation, presentation, and execution of Project Manager (PM) programs involving life cycle program plans, assigned systems, and equipment.

Required
Degree in operations research; or at least 24 semester hours in a combination of operations research, mathematics, probability, statistics, mathematical logic, science, or subject-matter courses requiring substantial competence in college-level mathematics or statistics. At least 3 of the 24 semester hours must have been in calculus.
Specialized experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) Conduct special cost studies on acquisition programs applying the principles of operations research, analytical concepts, mathematics, and statistics to life cycle cost analyses; 2) Perform a broad range of analysis and cost modeling that require creativity, innovative use of techniques and technologies; and, 3) Estimate the incremental and total resources required to support program systems.
Selectees must meet position requirements for Practitioner certification in the Acquisition Career Field Business Cost Estimating (BUS-CE) within 60 months of entrance on duty.
Selectee must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
One year trial/probationary period may be required.
You will be required to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship.
This is an Army Acquisition, Logistics and Technology Workforce position.
Business travel required up to 5% of the time.
