Responsibilities
Responsible for engineering level oversight and level 3 support of the current network security environment including Firewall, IDS/IPS, email filtering, web filtering, NAC, etc.
Contribute to the architecture, design, support, maintenance, and expansion of an enterprise network security implementation in a highly resilient configuration.
Provide oversight of frontline operations support team.
Assist in responses to internal and external compliance audits, penetration tests and vulnerability assessments.
Provide recommendations regarding direction of systems and applications to help secure access, data and assets.
Monitor current and proposed laws, regulations, industry standards, and ethical requirements related to information security and privacy.
Conduct research on emerging products, services, protocols, and standards relative to the information security arena related to VPN and MFA.
Work with IT Security product vendors and service providers to evaluate potential security offerings, including product evaluations, pilots and proof of concept installations.
Leverage a wide range of security technologies including logical access controls, identity and access management, LDAP, security incident response, privileged access management, database and system monitoring, end user password management and single sign-on systems as well as network device integration.
Understand and troubleshoot web tunneling, network configurations, system configurations and upgrades, user authentication and AD integration.

Required
Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science or a closely related field
Five (5) years of experience working as a Network Security Engineer or related position
Experience working in a large production IT environment administering and supporting multiple medium to small size applications
Experience supporting a large-scale network security environment
Experience utilizing Cisco ASA, PaloAlto and PulseSecure VPN
Experience working with IT security around ID access, data protection, system\application monitoring, system and application access
Experience utilizing Windows and Linux
Experience working with rollout of new technologies and migrations, specifically Firewall migrations and customer support documentation
