Continuous Improvement Engineer

Responsibilities
Teach, coach, train Lean systems and Lean Thinking across all levels of the organization
Track, monitor and report results for key lean initiatives across the organization
Assess, coach and provide constructive feedback to teams to strengthen lean competencies and organizational development
Serve as a change catalyst by influencing organizational leadership in the transformation to an Operational Excellence culture
Identify opportunities within site and departmental processes and mentor to apply best practices and execute change that links improvement to the strategic initiatives
Utilize data and KPIs to identify priorities and ensure goals are achieved
Facilitate training sessions that will optimize processes, practices, and influence the thinking regarding Problem Solving
Evaluate sites and departments through the Maturity Matrix as a part of the assessment team. Guide them on the Lean Roadmap and monitor for consistent results.

Required
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering is required
1 to 3 years of manufacturing industry experience
1 to 3 years of experience as a Lean Practitioner
1 to 3 years of program and/or project management experience
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, and statistical tools such as Minitab or SPC for Excel
Prior experience with Toyota Production System or similar industry recognized Lean training
Willingness to travel up to 25-35% of the time
