Responsibilities

Create innovative new features for Next Generation video endpoints and conferencing solutions.

Work with the software engineering team to identify and implement optimal software solutions.

Design and build unique capabilities to expand the Android platform.

Build prototypes and explore new ideas and designs.

Work collaboratively in an agile team.

Plan, design, and develop embedded software applications.

Manage software development projects following security guidelines.

Deploy and debug software initiatives throughout the software development lifecycle.

Required

Strong technical knowledge of complex software systems, including enterprise, middleware, firmware, and embedded systems.

Significant experience in software development, and systems engineering in a similar environment.

The ideal candidate should have experience developing and debugging embedded C/C++/JAVA applications.

Experience in multi-threaded embedded environments a plus.

The candidate should be familiar with audio/video processing including; capture, format conversion, scaling and display.

Software applications testing methodology, including writing and execution of test plans, debugging, and testing scripts and tools.

Excellent communication, passion for learning and attention to detail are key to the role.

Bachelor's degree in a relevant area or demonstrated competence.

Typically 4-6 years of embedded software development.

Preferred

Familiarity with Android Media Framework is an advantage.
