Responsibilities
Collaborate with the Project Team to plan and support the completion of assigned construction engineering projects and ensure the plan is moving forward to meet anticipated deadlines. Conduct all work in accordance with Allan Myers policies, procedures, and programs.
Problem solve with the Project Manager and Superintendent to develop effective plans and schedules for constructing the project and determine the means and methods necessary to meet project goals.
Interpret drawings, specifications and technical information and disseminate to the Project Team, subcontractors, vendors, and consultants to ensure compliance with engineering standards, codes, specifications, and design details.
Identify, order, and coordinate delivery of permanent materials such as pipe, stone, reinforcing steel, beams, etc. Work with the Project Team and Purchasing Department to ensure that all required purchase orders and subcontracts are finalized in a timely and cost-effective manner.
Manage the RFI and submittal process including establishment and maintenance of project control logs in CMiC.
Process owner billings and project-related accounting tasks.
Assist Project Manager with the development of Change Orders and related documentation.
Monitor all work, including subcontractors, for safety compliance in conjunction with the Safety Manager. Maintain project safety files and review the project schedule for activities requiring special safety measures.

Required
Minimum 2 years of experience in a construction management (estimating, operations, and/or engineering) role. Heavy civil experience.
Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, related major, or equivalent required. Continuing education in construction is highly desirable.
OSHA 30 hour required.
FE (Fundamentals of Engineering) certification.
Must possess working knowledge of contract administration systems, job cost management, change order management, labor & equipment reporting, planning, and scheduling, preconstruction planning, safety policies and procedures, safe work procedures.
