Responsibilities

Develop applications through all phases of the software development lifecycle including requirements gathering, design, testing, production, and maintenance.
Analyze, design, build, and document specifications for applications using Angular, NestJS, and MongoDB, with Drupal experience preferred.
Collaborate with developers and business analysts to support discovery and requirements gathering in an agile environment.
Provide technical guidance and mentoring to other developers, applying best practices and standards to medium to large projects.
Resolve issues and demonstrate competency in selecting tools, methods, and techniques to achieve results.
Schedule, demo, and lead meetings with application/campus stakeholders and ITS leadership team.
Occasional visits to campus may be required, with working hours based on Pacific Standard Time.

Required

Experience in application development using Angular, NestJS, and MongoDB database platform
Knowledge and experience in analyzing, designing, building, and documenting specifications for applications
Experience in back-end development using micro-services frameworks such as Micronaut
Collaboration with developers and business analysts to support discovery and requirements gatherings
Technical guidance and mentoring to other developers
Applying information technology best practices, community standards, and relevant policies and procedures
Experience in selecting tools, methods, and techniques to obtain results
Scheduling, demoing, and presiding over meetings with application/campus stakeholders and ITS leadership team
Ability to work remotely with occasional visits to campus as needed
Working hours based on Pacific Standard Time (PST)
Current work authorization when accepting a UCR staff position

Preferred

Experience with Drupal
Education, licensure, and certifications
Experience in medium to large-sized projects with high-level scope and complexity
