Responsibilities
Assist in the review of process performance and related quality issues involving raw materials, equipment, and procedures
Identify and solve production-related problems and implement changes to manufacturing processes using various troubleshooting methodologies, root cause analysis, event review, and operations meetings
Monitor current processes and communicate anomalies with manufacturing process parameters
Resolve system failures, maintain system equipment, and perform minor repairs on computer-related and process control equipment
Design, specify, and coordinate new equipment procurement and installation as needed
Introduce and train on new process control and procedures
Maintain and update MMI (Man Machine Interfaces)
Maintain PLC backup files and schedule for backup
Participate in safety committee and subcommittees, conduct plant safety audits, and engage in training programs to enhance environmental and safety performance
Perform assigned tasks as specified in the environmental procedures and work instructions
Understand the significant environmental impacts of job activities and the consequences of departing from specified work instructions

Required
4-year BS Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering from an accredited institution or 5-10 years equivalent work experience
5-10 years experience with paint, or in an OEM setting that uses paint in a manufacturing environment
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Proficient with computer and information technology
Proficient in Wonder Ware, Access, Excel, and MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Must be highly computer literate and have knowledge of process engineering software
Must be able to demonstrate technical, electrical, and mechanical aptitude
Should be fluent in the application of lean manufacturing, cost reduction, statistical process control and optimization techniques
Knowledge of statistical techniques, problem-solving methods, technical drawings, maintenance techniques, and manufacturing techniques are required
Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
