Responsibilities
Provide analysis and leadership on data analysis projects across the DEQ enterprise.
Provide insight to other data analysts, data architects, and application developers related to creating an enterprise data model.
Provide subject matter expertise related to Microsoft Dataverse, SQL Server, Azure Data Factory, and SSIS.
Standardize shared data entities and attributes within the DEQ enterprise.
Standardize database management systems and tools within the DEQ enterprise.
Host transactional databases and data warehouses in Azure using Microsoft Dataverse and SQL Server.
Collaborate and influence across all levels of the organization.
Design and deliver data mapping specifications for large reporting platforms.
Execute projects in an Agile/Hybrid environment.
Challenge legacy designs and seek opportunities for improvement.
Learn new technologies and adapt to changes in the technical environment.
Organize data for the agency to meet the needs of unique program areas.
Conceptualize and visualize data structures before implementation.
Migrate data from various legacy platforms.

Required
3+ years of experience with Azure Data Factory as an ETL tool.
3+ years of experience with MS Dataverse.
3+ years of with MS SSIS.
3+ years of a proven track record of solving real-world problems using data. Excellent critical thinking skills are a must-have for this role.
3+ years with a Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in a technology-related field (e.g. Computer Science, Engineering, etc.) with a focus on data analysis, and data structure.
3+ years of outstanding interpersonal and communication skills and experience collaborating and influencing across all levels of the organization.
3+ years of understanding of different database platforms: Oracle, SQL Server (On-Prem/Azure), DB2, and MS Access.
3+ years of excellent communication skills including written, verbal, and technology illustrations.
3+ years of understanding of Data Warehousing and data mining.
3+ years of understanding of modeling strategies (dimensional, snowflake, relational, unstructured).
3+ years of experience designing and delivering data mapping specifications for large reporting platforms. Writing and maintaining business rules using SQL logic.
3+ years of demonstrated experience in writing ad-hoc SQL statements.
3+ years of strong interest in playing a technical data steward role across our business and technology partners to understand and detail our data, appropriate.
3+ years of proven experience with ERD/Data Modelling tools (Toad or others).
3+ years of experience in executing projects in an Agile / Hybrid environment.
3+ years of ability to challenge the legacy design and seek opportunities to design better models and better code.
3+ years of demonstrated technical ability in learning new technologies and adapting to frequent changes in the technical environment.
3+ years of experience with data reporting tools (Power BI, others).
3+ years of ability to look at data in various formats, organize data for the agency to meet the needs of unique program areas and enable the programs to effect.
3+ years of experience conceptualizing and visualizing data structures before they are drawn.
3+ years of experience migrating data from various legacy platforms.
Preferred
3+ years of with MS SSIS.
