Responsibilities

Author and maintain standards and best practices documents for cloud-native applications and services to ensure consistency, security, and efficiency.

Lead the Cloud Guild and collaborate with cross-functional teams including software and data engineers, DevOps, and security experts.

Serve as the cloud services thought leader, recommending the appropriate services and solutions to improve system designs.

Develop and maintain the Cloud adoption strategy related to multi and hybrid cloud deployments, ensuring alignment with overall business goals and technology strategy.

Contribute to the design of the Internal Developer Portal (DevIQ) related to the use of cloud services. Design reference architectures and develop reference implementations.

Establish and document the full lifecycle of cloud governance policies, standards, best practices, and testing techniques.

Evaluate cloud services and vendors to balance functionality, cost, developer experience, performance, and observability.

Implement robust security measures to protect cloud infrastructure from threats and vulnerabilities.

Provide technical leadership and mentorship.

Required

Minimum of 10 years of experience in software development and architecture.

Proven experience as a cloud architect, with a strong portfolio of successful cloud projects.

Extensive experience with cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure.

Proficiency in cloud infrastructure as code tools (e.g. Terraform, Pulumi, AWS CDK)

Proven experience in authoring technical standards and best practices documentation for cloud-native applications and services

Extensive knowledge of cloud services supporting compute (serverless, container orchestrators), storage, search, caches, monitoring, IAM, configuration/parameter storage, etc.

Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, JavaScript, or Java.

Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.

Experience with AI/ML workloads in the cloud
