Responsibilities

Work in a cross-functional team to design and code large scale batch and real-time ML solutions

Prototype solutions, craft technical vision, and implement minimum viable products

Communicate and collaborate with geographically distributed teams

Participate in code reviews, resolve problems, and assist junior team members

Define and maintain technical artifacts, participate in user story creation

Support and troubleshoot data/system issues as required

Required

Degree in software engineering, computer science or a similar field

Comfortable programming in Python, Java and Scala

Experience in Big Data technologies, in particular Hive and Spark

Experience of using cloud services (e.g., AWS)

Experience working with Agile/Scrum methodologies

Passionate about learning, especially in Machine Learning

High-level understanding Machine learning pipelines

Experience with machine learning frameworks such as TensorFlow

Familiar in building real-time streaming applications, preferably in Spark

Familiar with workflow management tools (e.g., Airflow)

Familiar with the e-commerce or travel industry
