Responsibilities
Design, build, and optimize systems and services for core systems at Shipt.
Collaborate with staff, principal engineers, and product team to drive architecture delivery.
Work in an Agile environment and follow agile practices.
Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain application code using Golang, Postgres, Redis, and Kafka.
Address challenges in supporting core systems to ensure stability, scalability, and performance of applications.
Participate in design discussions with both the team and other development teams.

Required
7+ years of software development experience building large, scalable, microservice applications in the cloud.
You know how to develop backend software applications using object-oriented programming languages.
Experience with Golang, Postgres, Redis and Kafka.
You are passionate about software development, learning different domain knowledge, and solving problems.
You enjoy mentoring and learning from other engineers
You are a self-directed individual that enjoys freedom in your work.
You are able to identify and improve poor performing code or database queries.
Strong knowledge of testing fundamentals; unit, integration, e2e, etc.
Experience leading technical efforts to improve app maintainability, stability, and performance.
Have a high degree of ownership for all aspects of their services
