Responsibilities

Guide software teams in developing new features and processes. Oversee requirements, design, qualification, and production handoff

Negotiate the technical needs and timing of software handoff between Electrical Engineering and the software team

Ensure team utilization is efficient and aligned with strategic business goals

Contribute to program/product planning, resourcing, scheduling, budgeting, and delivery

Identify and manage risks and issues that may impact project delivery

Facilitate Agile/Scrum practices and values within the team

Hire, train, and manage a skilled software team

Create and manage project plans, provide status updates, and collaborate with partners/contractors

Implement systems to support product development, drive continuous improvement initiatives

Resolve issues to balance cost, schedule, and performance risks

Maintain regular onsite interactions for effective communication

Required

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related discipline.

5+ years of software development experience

5+ years of embedded software experience

Experience in wearable electronics strongly preferred

Expert understanding of project tracking and Software development methodologies (Agile/Scrum/SAFe/Test Driven Development).

Ability to work under short deadlines and co-ordinate development schedules and project deliverables.

Experience leading and directing a multi-disciplined software development team.

Experience with driving teams and enable them to work in a cloud environment, AWS, Azure, etc.

3+ years in software product management, requirements gathering, and process management in high-tech industries

5+ Experience in Leadership roles or Managing an Engineering team required.

Proficient with software process management tools (e.g., GitHub, JIRA, SVN, Azure DevOps) and management systems (e.g., ERP, MES, SPC, LEAN).

Familiarity with Windows operating systems and NET, C#, C++ and C programming.
