Responsibilities

Manage and direct vertically focused business development strategies and tactics to grow revenue and exceed regional sales goals
Create and execute a strategic plan to accelerate business and strengthen Stratus’s position in the market
Identify and establish executive relationships with key influencers across targeted sectors and customers
Identify and understand key industry/customer initiatives that result in new revenue opportunities
Develop new business with IT Channel partners and consulting firms in their associated eco-system
Collaborate and work with extended team members to successfully execute the vertical industry plan

Required

8+ years sales experience in IT, Industrial Automation, Retail, Oil & Gas, or Manufacturing
Expansive network of technical influencers in the relevant industries
Complex project sales experience with multi-national companies
Knowledge of high availability or Fault Tolerant computing solutions
Experience in selling through channel routes to market
Experience participating in industry conferences and presenting on thought leading technologies and solutions
Ability to develop a strategic plan including sales and marketing activities
Ability to forecast and manage revenue reporting accurately on a Qrtly basis
Capacity to manage delivering near term financial objectives, while developing mid to long term strategic initiatives
Ability to manage and direct vertically focused resources to deliver regional sales goals
Establish Stratus as a significant and trusted provider of products and services within the focus industries
Strong communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills
Self-starter, results oriented, high energy, persistent, personally accountable behavior
Excellent networking, researching, prospecting, influencing, closing and nurturing skills
Strong public speaking and general communication skills, both written and verbal with a proven capacity to engage credibly at all levels – up to and including board level
Demonstrates the capability to succeed in an environment in which resilience, self-sufficiency and initiative are critical success factors
Keeps up to date with current technologies and the IT marketplace particularly as they relate to Stratus
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
