Responsibilities
Developing and maintaining a packaging program that meets customer, compliance, regulatory, and corporate requirements.
Participating in process and engineering functions related to new product introductions, process improvements, and packaging inspection.
Using a methodical packaging selection process considering product, customer, business, regulatory, and ESG requirements.
Leading the design, development, execution, and implementation of studies, validations, specifications, and parameters for packaging integrity.
Integrating with packaging vendors, contractors, and customers to manage job functions and collaborate with Compliance, Shipping, and Regulatory functions.
Investigating, troubleshooting, and resolving packaging-related matters for new or existing products.

Required
Bachelor’s degree (in mechanical, packaging or manufacturing engineering highly preferred)
5+ years of experience in managing and maintenance of a packaging program and process
Experience in development of new packaging, evaluation of packaging, and maintenance of technical packaging specifications
Technical support experience for packaging related matters
Experience with primary packaging and corrugated materials
Experience in testing of packaging components and assemblies
Change management experience for assessment, evaluation, and implementation of packaging changes
Familiarity with common packaging materials
Experience in collaboration with cross-functional teams
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Teams, Outlook, PowerPoint
Experience in developing project plans and completing projects on-time and in budget
Ability to interact with all levels of an organization
Preferred
Experience in UN packaging requirements and testing
Experience with primary container labels, shipping labels, in-process labels
Experience with internal storage containers
Supervisory experience
Experience in a regulated environment (FDA, ISO)
Experience with a quality management system
Proficiency in AutoCAD or equivalent drafting application
Proficiency in Minitab or equivalent statistical application
Knowledge of best practices for packaging storage based on materials and use
